Love this! Hustle culture. I hate it. The Algorithm (capital A) creating anxiety in me that I am not doing anything fast enough. I need more, More, MORE! No I don’t. I want to stay off the hamster wheel. I do not want to keep up with the Joneses. This year, I am not even setting yearly goals. I have some things I want to do in Q1. That’s my focus.

I'm with you, Mike! Sometimes we do bizarre things just out of sheer inertia. We suddenly realize we missed out on simple pleasures once we step out of the hamster wheel you mention. And those are so much more rewarding and worthwhile! Like spending time with loved ones and going into nature.

I've dabbled with coworking spaces and coffee shops for the same reason. My goal this year is to bring into more of my hobbies and make those same types of connections within that space. Going to set the bar real low though - 5 feels right. Underpromise, over-deliver, right?
